Critically evaluating press pack

I will look at each thing produced within the press pack and critically evaluate to the nest of my ability. 

The Invitation

 
Above is the spectrum fashion show invitation and a Dior fashion show invitation. Looking at our spectrum invitation I believe all the right information has been provided in a simple yet current and trendy way that is fitting to our concept. the clean finish on pearled card works well with the general theme of our Spectrum press pack. when comparing this with the Dior fashion show invitation you can see that both have similarities yet are contrasting due to the general colour pallet and feel. The Dior invitation is more of a classic invitation fitting to the general concept of Dior as a brand. Therefore I feel as though this is something that we as a team have achieved with the Spectrum invitation. 

The Business Card
 

Here we have both the Spectrum business card and the Dior business card. Looking at our business card I believe that the initial intention was not for the business card to be so small however I do like how it has turned out. its simple and clearly shows the Spectrum logo with all the Correct information. the fact that it is smaller than most business cards generally makes it unique and this was something we had hoped to create within the press pack a unique take on press packs making it individual to us as a team. When looking at Dior as a brand and Dior's business card I feel that their business card is fitting to the brands concept simply elegant and clear cut with the necessary information. Again Dior's concept and style is minimal yet effective and is well known within the fashion industry. The Spectrum business card I believe is fitting to our concept and I believe is unique and current.

The T Shirt
 
The spectrum T shirt is something we felt would add a unique feel to our press pack something that could be kept in memory in order for the brand to be remembered. I feel as though the T shirt looks great however I do think that we could have possibly made it a little more fashion forward maybe by adding something to the T shirt. However the general appearance is simple and stands out it is fitting to the concept and sits well with the press pack as a whole. Looking at the Givenchy T shirt you can see the brand name clearly yet the simple added pattern makes it different and unique this is something I feel we could have added to the spectrum T shirt. however Due to the budget and how much was spent I know this was something that we couldn't really do as we had to consider everything else that had to be produced.

The Bag 
 
The Spectrum bag was one of the more costly things produced, however I feel it was a great touch as most brands generally use paper or plastic bags. I believe the fabric bag is great as it can be recycled/ used again and is something for the consumer to remember the brand as well as a form of promotion if used. The design is again minimal yet effective the logo is clearly visible. Looking at the Chanel bag again a well known brand that creates high end products I feel that the bag they have produced is fitting to the brands identity simple and clean cut with a quality finish this is something the consumer would expect from this type of brand. When looking at both bags I feel both Spectrum and Chanel have created something fitting to the brands identity. 

The Gift
 

The Gift is something which I had to produce I feel that the fact me and the group decided on sweets was cool, unique and fitting to spectrum and the group as a whole. Spectrum is about the different personalities and people within our group so I decided on using a mixture of sweets some sweet and simple some fizzy and tangy as I feel the mixture would be fitting to our brand concept and the team behind Spectrum. Using the cone was not my first preference however with the budget I had I feel I have produced a unique gift that works with the press pack as a whole. Looking at Chanel's Free gift you can automatically see the budget difference is huge, and if spectrum as a brand had a bigger budget we would have created a better quality gift. however I believe the gift produced does what it needs to do, it promotes the brand clearly displaying the logo by using the business cards produced I feel was a cool unique way. 


The Program



The Spectrum program with packaging was produced by myself I feel as though I have created something unique because when looking for inspiration most programs found were very simple generally an A4 sheet with a time table of the fashion shows taking place. I wanted to design something different that would look great. I believe that is program could have looked better if we had a bigger budget as we could have spent more money on professionally made programs. These programs look simple but making 100 was testing to say the least as I had to make 100 envelopes by hand however I am pleased with what has been produced and I believe the team as a whole like the final product, If I could have made these again I would most likely used paper rather than card however card is more durable. I wanted to carry on with the consistency of the Spectrum press pack so I decided on using the logo throughout showing the identity of our brand.
